Lumiere Noire Homme is a men’s cologne that was released in 2009. It has fragrance notes of patchouli, rose, artemisia, cinnamon, and cumin. The scent can be worn for day and evening wear in the fall and spring months.
The clear bottle is the brand’s signature square shape, with pale yellow liquid showing through. The brand and fragrance names are printed on the flacon’s face, and a square, pewter cap tops the bottle. Maison Francis Kurkdjian is the niche perfume house founded by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and his business partner Marc Chaya in 2009. Kurkdjian started his career at Quest International in 1993 after studying at Isipca in Versailles, France. In 2001, he opened a bespoke fragrance atelier. In 2017, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (Lvmh) acquired the brand, with Kurkdjian continuing his creative director role and Chaya serving as president. The brand has boutiques in Paris, Dubai, Miami, Kuala Lumpur, and Taiwan.
