Fragrance story: Tart blood orange essence and rose-tinged lychee fruit is set ablaze with peppery pimento berries essence. Creamy sandalwood on the drydown gives a smoldering quality, for a playful twist on a scandalizing encounter.
Part of the In The Garden of Good and Evil collection, Playing With The Devil for women is a sumptuous concoction based on the concept of forbidden fruit. The fragrance opens with rich, sweet top notes of blood orange, black currant, white peach and litchi, an aromatic Garden of Eden full of temptations. The heart notes of pimento, pepper, rose and jasmine create a sweet-and-spicy tension, while the base notes of cedar, tonka bean, patchouli, sandalwood, benzoin and vanilla contribute an earthy, slow-burning heat. From its heavenly top notes to its otherworldly base notes, this long-lasting oriental floral fragrance is by turns fruity, spicy and woody.
By Kilian, part of the Estee Lauder company, launched the fragrance in 2013. Founded in 2007 by Frenchman Kilian Hennessey, a member of the family known for its world-famous cognac, the fragrance brand promotes environmental responsibility and sustainability through its reusable, refillable packaging.
